The Federal Electricity Commission ElCom has published the electricity tariffs for 2027. For the standard household (H4, 4,500 kWh a year) the canton median ranges from 21.15 Rp./kWh (Zug) to 33.42 Rp./kWh (Basel-Stadt). Choose your commune and household type for your own annual bill.

Frequently asked questions
When do the 2027 prices apply?
From 1 January 2027. Grid operators must announce their tariffs by the end of August; ElCom then publishes them for every commune.
What do H1 to H8 mean?
They are ElCom's model households, from a 2-room flat (1,600 kWh a year) to a house with electric resistance heating (25,000 kWh a year).
Why does my commune have several tariffs?
Some communes are served by more than one grid operator. The one your home is connected to is the one that applies.
